“You are offering something so special… I can see the amazing weave of health mixed in with that paint. It has limitless benefit.” - HB

What is Freeflow?

Freeflow is a creative experience designed to help you reconnect - with your sense of self, with your body, your creativity, and with other likeminded individuals in a space that encourages authentic expression.

This is not your typical art or dance class. There are no techniques to master, no right or wrong way to participate.

Every Freeflow experience is a different adventure, inviting you to explore a unique blend of:

  • Intuitive visual arts (like drawing, painting, and mark-making)

  • Embodied movement and somatic awareness

  • Immersive soundscapes

  • Guided visualisations and meditations

  • Reflective writing and journaling

Experiences are designed to inspire participants to respond to these modalities by engaging with their intuition, through a series of guided, intentional prompts.

Whether you’re seeking personal insight, inner calm, fun and adventure, or meaningful connection, Freeflow offers a nourishing space to come as you are and create from there.

Sessions last for two and a half hours and spaces are limited to ensure an intimate group experience.

BOOK A SESSION

‘I feel very fortunate to have been in the group that you expertly led. I was so in awe of the holistic experience and felt very nurtured the whole way through... The meditation session really set the tone to one of relaxation and deep introspection, which paved the way for the creative background to flow out of me without too much trepidation. The creative writing process seemed like a natural progression, and I loved the creative movement because I felt so free…’ - Sue

How is Freeflow different from other art or dance classes?

There are no steps to follow, no right or wrong way to create. It’s not about becoming a better artist or dancer - it’s about becoming more you. Each session is an invitation to slow down, playfully explore and express yourself through creativity, and allow the unexpected magic to emerge throughout the process…

Is this right for me?

These experiences are ideal for you if…

  • The idea of developing your unique sense of creative expression is exciting

  • You are ready to explore and nurture your relationship with self

  • You are committed to a journey of growth and self-development

Feels a little overwhelming? Why not try a private 1:1 or 1:2 session in the comfort of your own home, out in nature, or in my studio!

‘It gave me the equivalent feels of having had a wholesome reset / holiday / soul massage… These days it’s a rarity that I can feel totally relaxed and safe outside of the house so I’m infinitely grateful.’ - Jaymie

‘The energy in the room was fantastic - fuelled by excellent music choices and cosy light effects… I honestly felt the power of just letting go and allowing my soul to flow in a pure magic experience… It’s impossible not to have fun when you feel that free!’ - Rodrigo

  • An intuitive flow is a blend of creative modalities that expands the creative process, and is guided by inner impulses, not instructions.

For example, a gesture can inspire a painting that transforms into a poem, and then finds its way into a song…

This interchangeable and adaptable flow supports wellbeing, self-esteem, and resilience through:

    • Self-discovery, awareness, and appreciation

    • The practice of navigating creative challenges

    • Forging authentic social bonds

    • Meeting our needs for joy, play, and adventure

  • Expressive Arts include multiple, creative modalities such as visual arts, music, movement, writing, and drama.

The term 'expressive' refers to creativity that prioritises personal expression, often resulting in deeply transformative and therapeutic experiences.

Expressive Art modalities offer a unique playground for exploring the intuitive creative process.

  • Expressive Arts practice supports mental health and wellbeing by promoting relaxation, strengthening resilience, and improving self-esteem through nurturing a profound connection with our intuition.

This practice can also open up new creative possibilities for participants as they explore and engage with diverse art forms.

  • Freeflow happens on Friday evenings twice a month, and is held in the Leo Zussino building of CQUniversity at Gladstone Marina.

Think cathedral meets industry vibes - this place is made for movement and magic!

With ambient lighting and amazing acoustics, you’ll be immersed as soon as you walk through the door.

  • Not at all. Freeflow is for anyone!

There’s no choreography to learn, no techniques to master, and no right or wrong way to create. No pressure to make things ‘perfect’ - it’s about presence, not performance.

Freeflow is an invitation to be creative and explore what freedom feels like in your body and art, so all you need is curiosity and a willingness to try.

  • That’s completely normal. Every session begins with gentle grounding to encourage you to arrive in the space and find support in your body.

The space is also intentionally low-lit to create a calm and welcoming atmosphere, and the culture of the sessions is intentionally nurtured to be curious and compassionate, not critical.

You’re encouraged to go at your own pace, stay with what feels good, and even sit out or modify activities if needed.

Many people find their self-consciousness softens as the session unfolds.

  • While Freeflow is deeply therapeutic, it’s not clinical therapy.

Jen draws on her background in expressive arts and trauma-informed facilitation as well as professional development in art therapy to hold a safe space for participants.

  • Yes, absolutely. Many people do. Freeflow is designed for solo adventurers, and you’ll be welcomed like an old friend.

You might just leave with a few new ones too!

However, if you’d like to bring a friend, family member, colleague, or support worker, you can use the code BETTERTOGETHER10 and receive 10% off both bookings!

  • Wear something you can move and make art in comfortably - think soft, breathable, and easy to wash! Layers are great too as you warm up and cool down.

Let your clothes support your freedom - tune in to your body and choose what feels true to you.

All materials are provided, but feel free to bring your own journal if you’d like. You don’t need anything fancy - just you and some water (because staying hydrated is cool!)

  • Of course. Casual passes are available here, and you can use the code TRYITOUT20 to receive $20 off your first session!

Then, when you feel ready to take the plunge, you can apply the casual pass credit to the full immersion journey - multiple sessions that bring the best benefit!
