A COLLABORATIVE SCULPTURE representing our multicultural society

MADE BY OVER 150 COMMUNITY MEMBERS OF CENTRAL QUEENSLAND IN SEVERAL WORKSHOPS HOSTED BY THE FOLLOWING ARTISTS:

Aboriginal art by darryl black

INK ON TEA BAGS BY SARAH LARSEN

RESIN BY KIRBY POLGLASE

GLASS BY JENNY HANSEN

SCULPTURE USING RECYCLED MATERIALS BY JEN HOLLSTEIN

‘The first level is the statue or the overall sculpture, inspired by nature, the shoreline, and the sea on one side and the desert on the other. The central shape is a symbol of the mountains.

As you zoom in, the second level is five primary art formats…

The third level is each individual artwork done by community members - the stories behind them.’ - Elmira Esfahani
