Fairy Dust
Created on a recycled textured canvas using a collection of half-used paints gifted to me by others, this piece emerged through an unapologetic celebration of colour, sparkle, and play.
At the time, I found myself reconnecting with the same joyful impulse of my inner child who would spend hours arranging sequins, glitter, and bright primary colours across nursery tables. Rather than striving for perfection or meaning, I simply followed curiosity and visual appeal, allowing layers of vibrant paint and generous amounts of gold leaf to accumulate across the surface.
What began as an experiment quickly became a reminder that creativity doesn't always need a purpose. Sometimes it can be enough to delight in colour, texture, and the simple pleasure of making something beautiful.
Created entirely from reclaimed materials, Fairy Dust is a celebration of abundance, imagination, and the enduring magic of the inner child.
